Galveston County Criminal District Attorney’s Office -- May 2010 – Present
Senior Felony Prosecutor
- Manage revolving caseload of 200+ cases, with special emphasis on those involving the use of deadly weapons; victim cases resulting in serious bodily injury; domestic and sexual assaults; and drug cases involving large quantities of controlled substances.
- Try complex Felony cases before juries in District Courts.
- Manage discovery and negotiate the disposition of complex cases.
- Work closely with local law enforcement agencies to assist with investigations, secure additional evidence, and prepare members for trial testimony.
- Work with Court Liaison Officers to ensure active monitoring of probationers.
- Provide training and guidance to junior Prosecutors; including sitting second chair and doing one-on-one peer evaluations after trials and hearings.
- Volunteered as HOPE Drug Court Prosecutor and advised executive-level employees about program developments.
